Currenly working out of a studio based at Stockwood Discovery Centre in Luton I am a figurative artist with the philosophy of “the more I paint the more I learn”. I believe that as artists we hold a unique position in society that through art we can reflect on current issues and take a view of what is happening around us. My work often comments on how minorities are portrayed in art and can art change these perceptions. SKIN consisting of 40 portraits asks do we even need skin colour to show ethnicity. This work was created specifically to start a conversation about this topic.I am also a proud Alumni of Digswell Arts which is a long standing but small charity that helps emerging artists.
